“The Healthy Living and Learning Center housed at the Petersburg Public Library was created in the fall of 2012. ┬áThe goal of the center is to provide a consistent, familiar place where community members can go to obtain accurate and reliable health information and connect to local health resources. The center is staffed with specially trained Librarians and Health Educators who provide quality health information directly to the public both at the center and through community outreach.”
Private donations often help the Library to continue to play an essential role in the quality of life of our citizens. The Petersburg Public Library System welcomes donations from individuals, businesses, corporations, and families. Most of the donations received by the Library are monetary. However, books, magazine subscriptions, and other types of materials may be donated.

The library reserves the right to make decisions regarding the implementation of each donation. Gifts of books or other library materials will be accepted in accordance with the Library’s Collection Development Policy. Purchasing decisions, with regards to equipment, furnishings, and other components, will rest with the library administration.
The library will ensure that each donor receives an acknowledgement. To the degree that the donor is willing, the library will ensure the donor receives public recognition for sizeable donations.
If you would like to donate please contact Wayne M. Crocker, Director of Library Services, at (804) 733-2387.
